Nashville

Howdy y'all

Things have been very quiet with me as I was busy on my big adventure and first stop was Honky Tonk city of Nashville👢

We flew from Dublin and had booked the US Preclearance Lounge | 51st&Green | US Lounge Dublin Airport which was a lovely way to start the trip. The lounge included a meal, snacks and drinks. We were able to eat and relax in a nice area before our first flight.

We paid to upgrade to extra leg room seats for our long flight out and home as they were 7 hours each. There was free soft drinks and 2 meals on the flight which was good and broke up the flight. There was a great choice of movies and TV series to watch on board and even some of the newest films such as Elvis.

We stayed at the Millennium Maxwell House Nashville (millenniumhotels.com) The lobby area was lovely and very Nashville vibes and there was a bar with entertainment most nights. The rest of the hotel was dated and the rooms basic but it was clean. We had to uber in and out to get into Broadway which is the main hub of Nashville. This did work out expensive and if I could advise anyone it would be to pay the extra to be more central as you will spend the money on commuting otherwise.

We did not arrive at Nashville airport until 7pm so by the time we got to the hotel we just need food and rest. Why is travelling so exhausting? Lol.

We woke fresh and got an uber straight into Broadway. Broadway was amazing and so surreal to be standing there and taking it all in. We spent the day on Broadway seeing the bars, hearing all the amazing music, eating and of course checking out all the cowboy boot stores👢

We also checked out the Johnny Cash museum which was so interesting. We got to see the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Country Music Walk of Fame.

After a nice nap we headed for our Downtown Nashville Helicopter Tour 2022 (viator.com) night time and oh my goodness this was a bucket list experience and absolutely breath-taking to see.

Day two in Nashville and we had breakfast in the cutest diner, and I was just living my best life. We stumbled across Elliston Place Soda Shop and oh my if I can tell you anything it's that if you're in Nashville go there because the food was awesome😄

Once we had breakfast, we headed to The Gradute Hotel, which is a Dolly Parton inspired hotel and it did not fail to impress with its fabulous interiors.

We then went to Cooters Museum to check out all things Duke's of Hazzard. After that it was off to Opry Mall and we all know a mall in America is next level and has hundreds of shops. Next to the mall was Grand Ole Opry and the Gaylord Orpyland Resort Hotel. This resort hotel was INSANE. I have never seen a hotel this big and with so many features. There was a rainforest, an aquarium, you could take a gondola around it and so much more. My mind was honestly blown by how beautiful this hotel was and the fact that it was decorated for Halloween just made my day.

Without a doubt Nashville was AMAZING and we would definitely go back.

Love T x
